The Art of Image (1)
The play of light and shadow and the color also has long fascinated me ... and what work I did once appear to me to be a precursor of what I now realize with embroidery in cross stitch.

Rummaging through my stuff, I found old albums studies and various projects in calligraphy, made in the 80s. I notice that I always had a keen interest in Medieval Art.

Hull 6th Edition Solution
Here's how I started working for a large room where the boss is on several pages (between 9 and 16):
First, as there are usually many colors, I start by gathering all my materials (thread, scissors, highlighters, etc ...) in a small box dedicated solely to this project. (I've often two or three courses, so two or three boxes).
Then I will sew the fabric firmly in a framework with dimensions just slightly larger (by fabric measures 17 "and under 19" (see below for executives). When the tissue is sewn onto the two rollers framework, I tend as much as possible so that the surface of the canvas is stiff and pleasant to work.
I always start to embroider the center of the room. Here I choose which page 10 is the section in the upper left the center point. I marked this point with a white cross directly on fabrics before sewing it into the frame.
It only remains to embroidery page by page by following the guide to the end. This approach allows me work comfortably and effectively on projects that take several months to complete, without error, or forget where I am.

Replace Struts On Toyota Celica
Dye fabric
For my next project I needed a black canvas. I made several stores near me without finding, and buying online is too expensive because of the cost of posts (from the USA or Europe). Not very economical solution donc.J have therefore decided to do an experiment with dyeing fabric scraps white Aida. I had little to lose and everything to me cost just $ 1 per box of Tintex noir.J have tested with 3 different pieces. By soaking the tissue for 3 hours for the color absorbs well and the black is as dark as possible. Then rinse and séchage.Résultat my experience: after a good ironing, I noticed that the tissues are not exactly the same hue. The largest piece seems very dark blue rather than black, while the two towns are really black. The tissues were not from the same source, so probably a little different.
But it is not a problem because the dye is very dark and uniform (except for a small place, which will be covered by the embroidery thread). This is a first attempt and I am quite satisfied. Hoping that the color will not fade to friction when I work. We'll see.
I am ready to begin my new project ... To be continued ...

Frames
As I'm almost always great I prefer to use pieces of rectangular frames wood because it avoids distorting the tissue as would the hoops.
I make myself these frameworks which allows me to have several different sizes as needed.
is pretty simple, just a few pieces of wood and pieces of hardware and with a bit of dexterity you get custom frames, very economical.
Another advantage of the wooden frames is that the fabric is sewn securely on the ribbons attached to the horizontal rods that can work on a rigid screen that will not budge. The whole remains straight until the end of work, and as sometimes it can take several months to complete a work, it is a great advantage.
Some executives are quite large and can be heavy to bear. It gives me pain when I work on the wrists for long periods.
To avoid this, I made the brackets. This allows the weight of the frame to rest on a base leaving my hands free to work without having to maintain anything. For executives
18 "(45 cm) and more, I use a bracket attached to one side at a wooden tray. This allows me to work on a couch, leaning comfortably with the plate resting on my thighs. The frame is a perfect height and the tray is useful for my work accessories. For executives
24 "(90 cm) and more, it is more useful to use a bracket on both sides. The balance is better because the frame weight is better distributed. This framework is at a comfortable height for work sitting on a chair right. It is lightweight and easy to handle. It is adjustable and may receive frames over 24 "by changing only the two horizontal rods of the foot.
